Davy Kelly – A Little Insight Into My World

me75From sunny the Sunny South East of Ireland, I have been creative from a young age, designing, drawing, photographing, and watching the world around me for years. Not content to pick one media and stick with, I find myself with a broad range of interests that have allowed me to work on a wide range of projects including designing sewage works, photographing weddings and working as a gardener.

I have a strong background in art and design. My self-driven further education started out at Loughborough University where I studied Aeronautical Engineering followed by Mechanical Engineering, happily graduating in 2006 with a 2:1 Honours degree. However it didn’t take me long to realise that the mechanical engineering sector wasn’t enough to satisfy my creative desires and I pressed into making a career out of a hobby of mine, photography. From 2005 to 2010 I got involed in what is considerd to many people to be the most important day of their life while I photographed their weddings. I have attended a number courses and read countless books but I count myself as a largely self-taught & self-motivated photographer with a desire to play a larger role in the wedding photography community.

What do I do now?

“After 5 years of photographing weddings I decided to give it a break (take a look at my blog), I am now have my own business as a gardener and am loving every minute of it.”

Goals:

“I’m passionate about bringing the highest level of quality and creativity to every thing that I do. I’m always interested in taking on projects with people that are enthusiastic .

I love… Jesus, photography, Holy spirit, my wife, a great God, being outdoors, food (especially good solid lumps of meat) – and anything that brings me a little more of any of those makes me a happy chap.

My goals for the next handful of years are to change a city, change myself, get closer to God, pay off my debts along with many other things! I’m a huge advocate of fresh ideas, and I get excited about each new opportunity I get to work with new people, so feel free to drop me a line anytime!”.

“Faith doesn’t deny a problems existence. It denies it a place of influence.” – Bill Johnson
